Obituary: Joan Diane Bason Of Ossining

Joan Diane Bason was born February 1st, 1946 at the Old Ossining Hospital, the current location of the Star Bethlehem Baptist Church.

She was the daughter of the late James Nelson Bason Sr. and Gloria Alma Bason. Joan was educated in the Ossining School System and graduated in June of 1964. Joan was employed by Cedar Manor Nursing Home for a number of years. She also ventured employment at Maryknoll in the dietary department shortly before retirement.

Sorrowfully recognizing her death, but joyfully reflecting on her life, are a faithful daughter, Kathleen Diane Wilmot, spouse Roy Wilmot, one grandson, Darius Kevin Wilmot, spouse Alexandra Wilmot, one loving sister Gloria Jean Bason of Ossining, NY, two nieces, Christine Bason of Ossining, NY, Jennifer Bason of New Orleans, LA, and a loving cousin Louise Young. Joan was a proud sister who was predeceased by her brothers, James Jr., John, Kevin, and Kim Bason.

Joan was an amazing woman who loved the lord and her family more than anything in the world.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday February 19 from 10-11am at Dorsey Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will follow at 11:00am at Dorsey. The interment will follow at Dale Cemetery in Ossining.
