Ossining Names New Principal For Roosevelt

OSSINING, NY — Ossining schools Superintendent Raymond Sanchez will recommend Nicole Mangiere to the Board of Education as the new principal of the Roosevelt School.

She would replace Michelle Grier, who moves to the administration offices as Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction starting July 2.

"Dr. Nover comes to us from the Chappaqua Central School District, where she currently serves as Assistant Principal at Seven Bridges Middle School. Prior to working in Chappaqua she served as an Assistant Principal at Putnam Valley Middle School. She has also served as an 8th Grade Learning Specialist, and 5th Grade Reading Teacher," Sanchez told parents in an email.

Nover holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication with an Education minor from Cornell University, two Master of Science degrees from Bank Street College, and a doctorate from Manhattanville College.

Ossining's schools are organized by grade level. Roosevelt is the 5th grade school. Park is for pre-K and kindergarten, Brookside houses grades 1 and 2, Claremont for grades 3 and 4, Anne M. Dorner for 6-8 and Ossining High School for 9-12th grades.
