Ossining On Presidents Day 2019: What's Open, What's Closed

Many services will be open or closed in Croton-on-Hudson and Ossining for the Presidents Day weekend.

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, NY — In observance of Presidents Day Monday, Feb. 18, local schools and government facilities will be closed, as will state and federal offices. There will be no mail delivery either.

Municipal garbage collection for most communities is suspended for Monday, but some transfer and recycling stations are open for refuse drop off. Check on your city or town government website for more information.

On Presidents Day, Metro-North Railroad will operate on a Saturday schedule for trains east of the Hudson. The Port Jervis Line and Pascack Valley Line will operate on a weekend schedule. For more information, click here.

  • Gyms/Health Clubs
  • Call ahead before heading to any of the above establishments to confirm they are open. Some retail stores or gyms/health clubs may be operating on a reduced schedule.

  • Stock Markets
  • Federal Offices
  • State Offices
  • Local City and Town Offices
  • Schools
  • Libraries
