Pandemic State Of Emergency Rescinded In Croton-on-Hudson

Village officials asked residents to continue to follow all guidance from state health officials.

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, NY — Croton village officials have rescinded the State of Emergency declaration that first went into effect March 16 and has been extended every 30 days ever since.

"Whereas, conditions that necessitated the issuance of the public health emergency have abated due to the widespread availability of the COVID-19 vaccine, Now, therefore it is hereby declared that the Public Health Emergency that has existed within the village of Croton-on-Hudon is hereby rescinded as of 12:01 a.m. on April 29, 2021."

Still, village Manager Janine King said in a notice to residents, "Please continue to follow all guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and New York State Department of Health regarding the use of masks and face coverings."
