Proposition to Name TZB After Seeger is Going Viral

Each day, Patch provides the nuts and bolts of local happenings with our five-bullet local dispatch.

1) Were you up late enough (or earlier enough, depending on your perspective) to hear this: the U.S. Air Force planned a Westchester flyover at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday. The exercise would see two F-16s, one Citation 550 aircraft and one helicopter flying at about 5,000 to 7,000 feet for one hour. Night owls, early birds? Report back if you heard this!

2) Feiner's gone viral! An online petition someone started after they read the Greenburgh Supervisor Paul Feiner's post on Patch suggesting we name the new Tappan Zee Bridge after Pete Seeger has been getting some action. Would you sign it? Read more here.

3) Highs in the mid-20s, gusty winds, chance of snow: winter continues.

4) An article reporting that suspended police Chief Brian Fanelli was suicidal a week after his arrest for child porn possession, was the most-read Patch post yesterday.

5) The high-speed car chase over the TZB was the most popular post on Patch in Rockland County yesterday.
