Selling Alcohol, Tobacco To A Minor In Ossining: Police Check

23 out of 28 businesses that were subjects of a recent compliance check followed the laws about selling tobacco or alcohol, police said.

OSSINING, NY — Just five out of 28 local businesses sold either tobacco or alcohol to a minor during a recent compliance check, Ossining police allege.

Those five are due in Ossining town court and their names have been referred to the appropriate state licensing agency, police said. They are:

  • Prescription Plus (105 Croton Avenue) is alleged to have sold tobacco products to a person under 21.
  • Ossining Sunoco (197 South Highland Avenue) is alleged to have sold tobacco products to a person under 21.
  • Delitas (232 North Highland Avenue) is alleged to have sold an alcoholic beverage to a person under 21.
  • Castillo Meat Market (191 Main Street) is alleged to have sold an alcoholic beverage to a person under 21.
  • Paradise Deli Minimarket (41 Spring Street) is alleged to have sold an alcoholic beverage to a person under 21.
