HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Some snow and rain showers Wednesday could lead to slippery roads, the National Weather Service warned.

The NWS issued a hazardous outlook for Dutchess and Ulster counties, warning that snow, while not accumulating, may produce slippery travel conditions into the afternoon and tonight across higher elevations of Windham County and across the Mohawk Valley, eastern Catskills and Schoharie County.

The NWS issued a special statement for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties, saying periods of light to moderate snow could take place through the afternoon across southern New York, northeast New Jersey, and western Connecticut. A dusting to a few tenths of an inch could occur, with potentially up to an inch in higher elevations. Be alert for slippery conditions and reduced visibility if traveling.
