Snow Sunday: Storm Watch, Hazardous Outlook Issued In The HV
A storm off the coast may come close enough to the region to bring an accumulating snowfall on Sunday, the National Weather Service said.
HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Snow is expected in the Hudson Valley on Sunday, and the National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for southern Westchester County and a hazardous outlook for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and northern Westchester.
Low pressure will move off the coast during the second half of the weekend, and may come close enough to the area to bring an accumulating snowfall on Sunday, the NWS said.
For southern Westchester: Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 7 inches possible. Travel could be very difficult.

The winter storm watch is from late Saturday night through Sunday afternoon.
For the rest of the region, 2 to 4 inches is possible in places, said the folks at Hudson Valley Weather.

The brunt of the storm looks like it will pass to our south.
"Snowfall for much of the area from central Pennsylvania to the northern Hudson Valley of New York state is likely to be light with this event and on the order of a coating to an inch or two," AccuWeather Senior Storm Warning Meteorologist Brian Wimer said.
