Two Ossining Residents Bitten by Coyote: Report

Two residents of Mystic Pointe are undergoing rabies shots, the homeowners association tells the Daily Voice.

OSSINING, NY — A coyote roaming the mostly wooded area along the Hudson River between St. Augustine's Church and the old Brandreth Pill Factory may be rabid and may be responsible for biting two people, according to the Daily Voice.

Ossining police issued a warning about the wild animal on Monday, after receiving reports from a Mystic Pointe resident and a North Water Street resident of confrontations with a coyote. The coyote did not bite either the dog or the person on North Water Street.

They issued an alert Wednesday about an aggressive coyote, believed to be the same animal.
