Volunteer Opportunity: Pitch In for Parks is Sunday
A beautiful day for this annual volunteer effort to spruce up Westchester's parks, trails and open spaces for spring

Pitch In for Parks is Sunday (in some Westchester County parks it's Saturday).
It's hosted by Friends of Westchester County Parks, which engages the public to advocate for and invest in the preservation, conservation, use, and enjoyment of the 18,000 acres of parks, trails, and open spaces within the Westchester County Parks system.
Pitch in for Parks is the group's largest one-day volunteer program which falls around Earth Day every year.

Volunteers take on special projects throughout the county parks to help get ready for the peak season. They paint, rake, prepare and plant flower beds, build footbridges and boardwalks in the woods, clear trails and shorelines, monitor biodiveristy, restore wildlife habitats and remove invasive vines from trees. Join in this community effort and help prepare for spring.
You must register for the park where you plan to volunteer, with the exact number of people in your party. For more information on how to volunteer for Pitch in for Parks, contact Sara Cavanaugh at (914) 231-4530 or visit www.friendsofwestchesterparks.com
