Westchester Man Enters Plea To Child Sex Abuse

Prosecutors said the plea was made while pre-trial hearings were underway.

OSSINING, NY — A Westchester man pleaded guilty to child sex abuse as pretrial hearings were underway Monday. Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino Jr. said Segundo Nicolas Sanchez Gillen, 40, of Ossining, admitted under oath that he committed the crime of first-degree sexual abuse, a felony.

Gillen said he subjected a child who was less than 11 years old to sexual contact, the district attorney's office said.

Prosecutors said Gillen sexually abused a child on the premises of a Ossining village restaurant Feb. 19.

Following an investigation, he was arrested by Village of Ossining police April 24.

Gillen is scheduled for sentencing March 10.
