Where to Stay Cool, For Free, in Westchester

Westchester County offers this interactive map of public air-conditioned places, like libraries and government buildings.

Need relief from the heat and the humidity? There are a lot of air-conditioned facilities in Westchester County that are open to the public: senior centers, libraries, malls and movie theaters.

Use this portal to check out this interactive map on the county government's website. You can look at your area of the county to see what's around—or enter your own address and the map will highlight nearby Cooling Centers.

If you're feeling linear, you can also look at this list of places to stay cool.

County health officials also offer the "Stay Cool" information line (914) 813-5620 for tips on recognizing signs of and avoiding heat stress.
