Forum To Cover Sunset Park Library Affordable Housing Details
The Fifth Avenue Committee has set up information sessions for its upcoming affordable housing development at the new Sunset Park Library.

BROOKLYN, NY — Brooklynites can learn more about a highly-anticipated affordable housing development in Sunset Park at two information sessions this spring.
The Fifth Avenue Committee has announced two virtual forums for its affordable housing project at the new Sunset Park Library, which will bring 49 units of affordable housing to the top floors of the new Fourth Avenue building.
The information sessions, scheduled for March and May, will let those interested in the project know more about the building, eligibility requirements to apply to live there, how to use NYC's Housing Connect platform and support for those who need help applying.

The eight-story building will include studio, one, two and three bedroom spots and come with a second-floor roof deck, according to FAC.
Officials started construction on the building in early 2019 and have said that, at least for the library portion, it is expected to open this year. FAC did not immediately respond to questions about the timeline for the housing component.

The apartments will be available to those making 30 to 80 percent of the area median income, most for those below 50 percent, meaning they will pay between $500 to $1,000 per month, officials have said.
The information sessions will be held virtually with translation in Spanish, Mandarin, and Arabic.
