Home Buyers: Park Slope Ranked 25th Most Expensive Neighborhood in NYC
What does that mean? The median neighborhood home sold for $979,500.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — A new study looking back at the year in real estate sales found Park Slope to have the 25th most expensive home market in the city, and the 7th most expensive in Brooklyn.
Real estate data firm PropertyShark counted 416 sales of Park Slope residential properties — defined as single-family homes, coops and condos — between Jan. 1 and Dec. 13. The neighborhood's median sale price was $979,500, according to PropertyShark's numbers, a five percent increase over 2015.
That, however, turns out to be a bargain compared to Dumbo, the borough's most expensive neighborhood, where 113 sales fetched a median price of $2,010,000 this year, an increase of 44 percent from last year.

And of course, nothing tops TriBeCa, the most expensive neighborhood in the city, where 436 properties sold for a median price of $4.15 million, up 19 percent from 2015.
