Windsor Terrace Home Prices Have Jumped Over 40% in Past 2 Years: Report

One of the fastest-growing markets in Brooklyn.

Sleepy, friendly Windsor Terrace has officially been discovered.

A new quarterly report from the Real Estate Board of New York shows that homes in Windsor Terrace — including condos, co-op units and one-to-three family dwellings — are now selling for an average of $884,000.

During the same quarter in 2014, the average home price was 21 percent lower, at $729,000.

And during the same quarter in 2013, the average home price was 21 percent lower than that, at $605,000.

Overall, Brooklyn’s home prices have risen more slowly: around 28 percent over two years.

And it’s no wonder. Halstead property, which sells homes in the area, calls Windsor Terrace ”Brooklyn’s best kept secret.” It advertises the neighborhood as a ”serene and quiet area” with ”brick house-lined streets” that “abound with trees and friendly neighbors.”

Let’s hope that coveted atmosphere can survive the boom.
