Boil Water Order Lifted In Sparkill

The six-day requirement was due to a water main break.

SPARKILL, NY — Residents in Sparkill who had been boiling their drinking water since Aug. 18 no longer have to do so.

On Aug. 24, the Rockland County Health Department lifted the boil water order for the following addresses in the Hamlet of Sparkill:

  • Rockland Rd - # 2, 3, 60, 65, 70, 80, 81, 83, 85, 87, 90, 93, 95, 101.
  • Rockland RD - # 81-Barn.
  • Deer Run - # 3, 4, 20.
  • Tallman Mtn Rd - # 2-41.
  • Valentine Ave - # - 445, 450.

It is no longer necessary for these customers to boil their water prior to consumption, health officials said.

Lab results indicate that the water meets all safe drinking water standards. SUEZ apologizes for the inconvenience and thanks customers for their patience, water company officials said.

New City residents who had a boil water order issued Aug. 18 had theirs lifted Aug. 22.
