Cops: New City Man Stole BMW From Sports Club In Pearl River
Police allege they found it and him at the Tappan Zee Motel in West Nyack.
PEARL RIVER, NY — A man walked into the locker room at the Vision Sports Club in Pearl River and took keys to a BMW that was in the parking lot, according to Orangetown police.
Notified of that a car had been stolen at 8:45 p.m. Sept. 23, Orangetown police put out an alert. A New York state trooper on patrol noticed a car matching that description at 2:30 a.m. Sept. 24 parked outside the Tappan Zee Motel in West Nyack. The trooper and Clarkstown police arrested Michael T. Heidtman of New City.
Now Heidtman, 38, faces charges of grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property and petty larceny in Orangetown. He is also facing charges in Clarkstown, Orangetown police said.
