Rockland Virtual 5K To Help Local Food Pantries

You can run or walk the 5K on any route and at any time, as long as you do it between May 1-17. Here's how to register.

ORANGETOWN, NY — Here's a great way to stay fit, keep your social distance and help people who need help. Orangetown officials are organizing a Virtual 5K Race. What's unique about this is you can run or walk the 5K on any route and at any time, as long as you do it between May 1-17.

As it says on the event page the Virtual 5K: Where community comes together even when we are apart.

All of the net proceeds will be donated to local food pantries in the Orangetown area.

You can even run/walk with friends if you wish, as long as you observe stipulated social distancing rules. Your entry fee includes a t-shirt.

For those who don’t want to participate in the event, there is still an opportunity to be a part of this event. For a $ 100 donation, you’ll get your name (personal or business) printed on the back of the t-shirt which will be supplied to all participants.
