Eastbound Route 340 Closed for Work Starting Monday in Orangetown
A detour will be posted.

The eastbound lane of Route 340 between Route 303 and Kings Highway in Orangetown is expected to be closed on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. beginning Monday.
Crews will perform utility work, weather permitting, through Friday.
Eastbound motorists should follow the posted detour. There will be no impacts to westbound traffic.

Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to flaggers and all traffic control devices, including signs.
Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
