"This senseless act of violence left a young man dead and another injured," Walsh said. "We cannot forget the victim's families during these difficult times. Executive Assistant District Attorney Moore will be seeking justice on behalf of the Grant family and people of Rockland County. The tenacious work of the Orangetown Police Department, and other agencies involved in this investigation, should be commended."

The New York State Liquor Board suspended the license for the restaurant, which is closed and up for sale but has been hosting weekend club-like events, according to social media.
On March 6 there were about 100 people inside the old restaurant, the state board reported. The proprietors were serving alcohol but not serving food, which is not allowed under the regulations, the state board reported; people were dancing or just standing around drinking before a fight broke out at around 10:30 p.m.
The license is held by the license held by Blauvelt Coach Diner Inc.
