New Footbridge For Children's Park In Chestnut Ridge

It was part of an ongoing effort to enhance Ramapo's award-winning park system, town officials said.

CHESTNUT RIDGE, NY — A new footbridge has been installed at Children's Park by the town of Ramapo.

With its jogging, walking and biking paths, playground, gorgeous pond, and tennis, basketball, and handball courts, Children’s Park is a terrific amenity for Ramapo residents, and it is a particularly popular outdoor destination for the many young families who live in proximity to the state-of-the-art facility, town officials said.

“Our parks system is one of the jewels of the Town of Ramapo, and we are constantly seeking ways to further enrich our wonderful recreational facilities,” said Ramapo Supervisor Michael Specht. “Whether it is one of our sports complexes, pools, or parks, the Town of Ramapo is deeply committed to ensuring that our residents can readily enjoy the great outdoors in a safe and fun manner.”
