Pearl River Girls Basketball At Albertus Added For Today

Pearl River will play at Albertus Magnus at 4 p.m. in a game that was postponed due to the winter storm Tuesday.

Pearl River girls basketball Head Coach Dan Lauture said a stretch of three games in five days against rivals Albertus Magnus and Tappan Zee would provide a good opportunity to measure his team's progress.

The first part of that test, a game at Albertus Magnus Tuesday, was postponed due the inclement weather that forced the cancellation of all afternoon activities at local schools.

Now the Pirates will face the three-game test in four days, with the game at Albertus Magnus rescheduled for 4 p.m. today.

The Pearl River girls basketball game at Albertus Magnus that was postponed Tuesday due to snow was rescheduled for 4 p.m. today. The Pirates will play at Tappan Zee 4:30 p.m. Thursday, then face Albertus Magnus again 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Pearl River, a make-up of a game postponed earlier this month.

This will be the first meeting of Pearl River and Albertus Magnus since the Falcons defeated the Pirates, 59-56, in double overtime in the Section 1 Class A semifinals last season. Pearl River had swept two regular-season meetings between the teams.
