Local youths held a hat-a-thon at the Pearl River Public Library last weekend where they made their own, as well as collected, handmade hats to donate to those in need, according to an announcement on Patch.
Since beginning their project, the group has collected ore than 180 hats to give to local hospitals and People to People.
Next up? The girls are looking to make and collect baby hats for Nyack Hospital's Maternity and Pediatrics.
