Pearl River Gives Olympian Pucci a Send-Off to Sochi

Pearl River's Josephine Pucci will represent the United States as a member of the women's hockey team in the Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia next month, but her hometown gave her a send-off Sunday.

Family, friends and neighbors gathered to support Pucci on Central Avenue and in T.F. Noonan's in Pearl River Sunday. Read more about Puccihere. 

Pucci was officially announced as a member of the team New Year's Day. The U.S. Women's Ice Hockey team will play its first game in the Olympics Feb. 8 against Finland.
