Pearl River Schools' Plan Ready for Snow Days

The Pearl River Public School District remained open despite the snow that fell Tuesday morning, but the district has a plan in place if it does lose days to inclement weather.

Pearl River Schools built seven snow make-up days into the 2013-14 calendar. There are no classes currently scheduled for those days, but they would become school days in place of snow days or other unscheduled closings. 

There is a set order in which they would be used, which is as follows:

1. Feb. 21, 2014
2. Feb. 20, 2014
3. Feb. 19, 2014
4. May 22, 2014
5. May 27, 2014
6. May 23, 2014
7. April 21, 2014
