How did you come up with the name?

Diane had a dream of her father telling her to name the shop Baked By Angels.

Why start a business in this town?

Location was perfect, Pearl River is an amazing community and they embraced us right away. It’s a warm, welcoming community.

What business are you in?

We create one-of-a-kind specialty cakes and cookies, delicious cupcake flavors daily and have a line of gluten-free products. Themed desert ensembles and so much more!

What’s the most difficult challenge you’ve faced as a business owner?

Money. Keeping up with all the social media, reaching more people seems to be a challenge. We do have many repeat customers and referrals, via, word-of-mouth, but we would like to see more ‘new’ customers reaching out on a regular basis. We have many new ideas but never the time to pursue opportunities. We are a two-women owned business, just starting our 3rd year and expansion is inevitable.

What’s been your proudest achievement since opening?

A solid reputation with wonderful customer service. Customer reviews speak for themselves.

How does your business give back to the community?

We donate year round to local charities, schools and fund raisers.
