Pearl River Passes $70.99 Million School Budget

This year, residents voted by absentee ballot due to the new coronavirus pandemic.

PEARL RIVER, NY — Residents in the Pearl River school district voted overwhelmingly to approve the $70.99 million2020-21 school budget. In unofficial totals the vote was Yes – 2472, No - 857.

Proposition 2, asking voters to approve $7 million more for increased costs of the capital improvement project passed by a closer margin, but still more than 2 to 1:

  • Yes – 2291
  • No - 1027

Pearl River Public Library's budget passed by 2413 'yes' votes to 932 'no' votes. Donna Warren was unopposed for the library trustee seat.
