Rockland Utilities Raises Funds For UWRC
Rockland Utilities has raised over $150K in fundraising efforts to support the United Way of Rockland County.

From UWRC: United Way of Rockland County (UWRC) has named Orange and Rockland Utilities, Inc. (O&R) its Top Corporate Donor for its successful fundraising drive that this year raised over $150,000 to support United Way programs.
O&R achieved this year’s United Way campaign results by combining a dynamic fund-raising drive partnership between the Company and its bargaining unit, IBEW Local 503, with a dollar-for-dollar, shareholder match to raise $157,128.
The O&R-IBEW Local 503 fund-raising drive raised $78,564 from among O&R’s current employees and its retirees. The Company matched that sum dollar-for-dollar with another $78,564 from the shareholder funds of Consolidated Edison, Inc., O&R’s parent company.

Since 1993, O&R and Local 503 have donated approximately $4 million in employee and retiree contributions and shareholder matches to the United Way.
O&R employs approximately 1,100 people, almost all of whom also live in the O&R service area.
