Teen Crashes Into Pole In Pearl River: Police
The southbound lane of Route 304 was closed overnight while the pole was repaired, police said.
PEARL RIVER, NY — A 16-year-old was injured Tuesday when she lost control of the car and hit a utility pole on Route 304, Orangetown police said. The crash happened near Hillside Avenue at 6:55 p.m.
The Pearl River Fire Department extricated the girl from the 2004 Toyota. Pearl River Ambulance Corps and Rockland Paramedics also responded. She was taken to Nyack Hospital. Her injuries were not life-threatening, police said.
The New York Department of Transportation was called to deal with the pole. The southbound lane of Route 304 was closed all night between Hillside and W. Washington Avenue. It reopened by 7 a.m. Wednesday, police said.
