
Lorraine C. Ryan, 91 of Pearl River, NY died Friday, June 26, 2015.
She was born December 4, 1923 in Woodcliff Lake, NJ to Bertha Knopf and John Wethly. She moved to Rockland County in 1939 and graduated from Pearl River High School in 1942.
Lorraine worked at Camp Shanks in Orangeburg, NY during World War II from 1943 to 1945 and at the Cerebral Palsy Institute on Long Island from 1945 to 1946.

On September 15, 1947 she married John Ryan at St. Anthony’s Church in Nanuet, NY.
She is survived by her sons, Philip (Vicki) of Knoxville, TN, Kevin of Wappingers Falls, NY and Michael of Amsterdam, The Netherlands and her daughters, Cathy Ryan (Wayne Flavin) of Harriman, NY and Christine Mahr (Michael) of Goshen, NY. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; Matthew Ryan, Carly Ryan Fletcher, Sara Ryan, Michael Flavin, Casey Flavin, Kevin Flavin and Laura Mahr. She has two great granddaughters, Maya and Violet Fletcher. She is predeceased by her husband, John in 2000 and two sisters, Mona and Marjorie.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:00 am Wednesday at St. Anthony’s R. C. Church, Nanuet, NY. Interment will follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery. Visiting is Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc.
