She was 86.

Frances Ann Yeransian of Pearl River, NY died Monday, December 22, 2014 at Mount Sinai Hospital. She was 86.

Mrs. Yeransian was a teacher at Rockland BOCES in West Nyack, NY for over 25 years before retiring.

Frances was born September 15, 1928 in Jamaica, Queens to Dr. Everett G. Fausel MD and Leila Burns RN. She attended Cornell University and graduated from Hunter College earning a Masters Degree in Education.

Locally, she was a member of the Orangetown-Tappan Senior Citizens Club. She volunteered at the Museum of Natural History and Clan Campbell Society. She was very active in her community and a world traveler.

Frances was a great mother and grandmother and helped her grandchildren with all their success.

She is survived by her children, Lucille and husband Allen Nassery and Bruce, Peter and Elizabeth Ann Yeransian; grandchildren, Adam Nassery MD and Alia Nassery Atkinson RN and husband Scott, her sister, Angela Moreau and her nieces. She is predeceased by her husband, James Allen (1985) and son, Andrew (2008).

A funeral service will be held 10:00 am Saturday at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Pearl River. Burial will follow at Rockland Cemetery, Sparkill, NY. Visiting is Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc.
