Work To Close Route 340 Wednesday In Orangetown

An eastbound and westbound closure is expected on Route 340 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Wednesday in Orangetown and Piermont. Crews will perform utility activities, weather permitting.

Follow the posted detour and anticipate possible delays.

Use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to flaggers and all traffic control devices, including signs.

Remember that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
