4 Forever Friends: Pets of the Week from SPCA of Westchester

From a playful 7-month-old puppy to a gorgeous 3-year-old shepherd mix, these dogs are worth the rescuing. Check them all out.

BRIARCLIFF MANOR, NY — Here are four possible pets to choose from, from the SPCA of Westchester. Just read their stories:

Johnny: This one and a half year old beauty is one of 8 dogs rescued along from a recent cruelty case.

Johnny's got a permanent smile on his face, and is so happy to have people to kiss, a yard to run in, and the chance to find a wonderful forever home! Johnny is good with other dogs. He'd be a good fit for kids 14+. And he does not want to live with cats. Please e-mail trainer@spca914.org or shelter@spca914.orgto set up a time to meet Johnny!

Roxy also gets along well with other dogs and enjoys her time in play group. To learn more about Roxy, e-mail shelter@spca914.org or come meet her!

Rusty: This 10 month old Jack Russell Terrier mix is a super friendly, playful boy who's got lots of energy and would love a home with active people.

He'd be a fun friend for kids around 10 and up, and he gets along with most other dogs. Come meet Rusty or e-mail shelter@spca914.org with any questions!

Nicky: This 7 month old boy is very friendly, very smart, and very playful.

He's also a kid -- he's got lots of puppy energy and is still learning his manners and how not to be so jumpy. He'd do best in an adult home with people who are willing to continue his training, and he gets along well with other dogs. If you're interested in knowing more about Nicky, please e-mail trainer@spca914.org
