County Health Department Working To ID Possible Virus Infections
Staff and patrons who were near someone infected with the new coronavirus are being asked to quarantine and get tested.

MOUNT PLEASANT, NY — The Westchester County Department of Health is working with the Mount Pleasant Pool in Valhalla to identify those staff and patrons who were in near a person at the pool who tested positive for the new coronavirus, and to assure they quarantine and are tested. The Health Department was notified about the exposure by the pool.
The individual who was infected is isolating at home and had not been at the pool since Sunday. The pool is currently closed, officials said.
Town officials in Mount Pleasant closed the pool and community center after two seasonal employees tested positive for the virus.

The health department is also working with the Hommocks Pool, which was closed Friday, in Mamaroneck to identify staff and pool goers who were in close proximity to a person at the pool who tested positive for the new coronavirus, and to make certain they quarantine and get tested.
The individual who was infected is isolating at home and has not been at the pool since Sunday.

As part of its response, the health department inspects the pools, reviews records, interviews those who tested positive to identify others exposed and contacts them to alert them to their exposure and their need to quarantine and be tested.
