Creating Food, Creating Meals
Pleasantville Farmers Market is open Saturday, 9:00am - 11:30am

When it comes to a safe process to gather groceries, Pleasantville Farmers Market's producers and shoppers have had things pretty well covered since last March. To mitigate the risks posed by our continuing health crisis please ensure you do your part to keep our marketplace open and safe:
- Wear a mask covering both nose and mouth when visiting the Market
- Physically distance yourself 6' from other shoppers while in the marketplace
- To help lessen crowding please keep your visit to the Market as short as possible
- Preorder items -- that is our most efficient way of getting customers in and out quickly
- Select just one member of your family as the "designated shopper" to send to the Market
- If arriving as a couple, bring enough reusable bags so that you can split up shopping duties
- Please do not use the Market as a social or family outing at this time
- Absolutely avoid the Market if you are sick, especially if you have a temperature of 100° or above, a cough, a sore throat, or shortness of breath. If experiencing these symptoms contact the New York State Department of Health COVID-19 hotline at (888) 364-3065 where Department of Health experts are available to provide guidance.
Thank you for your help in this. We look forward to continuing to support your family, and our producers' families, throughout 2021.

It's early in the week, but we can see that Saturday will be a chilly day at the Plaza. If later in the week the forecast predicts unfavorable conditions for opening the Market we'll email all preorder customers of a closure. If conditions remain alright, then the Market will remain a "go" for Saturday. Either way we'll be in touch with a second newsletter Thursday by 9:00am with an update.

Phelps Health Tip:
Lead Sponsor Phelps Hospital Northwell Health shares the following: "Protections work together. Your nose reduces the risk of viral particles getting to your throat. A mask reduces the risk of the viral particles getting to your nose, and social distancing reduces the risk of them getting to your mask. Together, these countermeasures work very well" (Peter Tippett MD PhD).
