UPDATE: Downed Tree Cleared from Saw Mill River Parkway

UPDATE: The Saw Mill River Parkway, which was closed in both directions due to a downed tree, has reopened, according to a state transportation alert at 12:46 p.m.

BEDFORD, NY — The Saw Mill River Parkway was closed in both directions as of 11:20 a.m. at Route 117 due to a downed tree.

State transportation officials said the closure could last up to four hours.

All traffic is exiting at Exit 39 in both directions. Expect delays.
