Everyday Inspirations: Kat Nemec Volunteers Countless Hours to Schools, Girl Scouts
Patch readers told us who the "Everyday Inspirations" in their communities are, and we're sharing their stories and the work they've done locally.
Everyday Inspirations is a series that features people in Patch communities who inspire others through their work, or people who have faced extraordinary situations and grown from them. They have been featured by other people in the community that have been inspired by the nominees.
Name:Â Kat Nemec
Town:Â Pleasanville, NY
Nominated by:Â Lori Stockel
Why is this person an "Everyday Inspiration?"Â
Kat is a dynamo who volunteers countless hours to the folks of Pleasantville. She is the President of the PCO and has served in this capacity for both the high school and middle school.Â
She currently is serving as the prop chair for the high school play and puts in hour after hour of her creativity into making the production great. She has done this for countless years! She advocates for the kids, supports our veterans and is the most humble person I know. The folks of Pleasantville owe her a great deal of gratitude!
How does this person work to make others' lives better?
In addition to the reasons above, she inspires young ladies in her role as a girl scout leader for 16 year olds (troop has been together since elementary school).
She volunteers at the Pleasantville Farmers Market to do crafts for the kids and is an active member of her church. Ask anyone in Pleasantville if they know Kat Nemec and they will tell you the same!
