Flash Flood Warning Issued For Central Westchester
The National Weather Service named three communities in Westchester as well as several in Rockland County.

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — A flash flood warning is in effect until 6:30 p.m. for part of Westchester County and Rockland County.
The National Weather Service said 1-2 inches of rain had already fallen and additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include Briarcliff Manor, Tarrytown, Dobbs Ferry, Hawthorne, Nyack, Tappan, Greenwich, Pearl River, Oradell, Norwood, Orangeburg, Upper Nyack, Dumont, New Milford, Westwood, Hillsdale, River Vale, Cresskill, Closter.

The National Weather Service reminds everyone:
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you can do so safely.
A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately. Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate precautions to protect life and property.
