5 p.m.: Problems along the Harlem Line have persisted through Wednesday. Not only are there delays of up to 40 minutes, but also several evening trains inbound to Grand Central Terminal have been canceled.

The big issue is a track condition between Valhalla and Hawthorne that was related to last night's severe weather. Congestion on the line is due to single-tracking in that area.
