THE KOREAN WAR
Fascinating history at the Briarcliff Manor Public Library, Sunday June 5 from 2-3:30pm
The Korean War took place from June 1950 until July 1953 with over 36,000 United States soldiers killed in action. John O'Loughlin, a former history teacher who served in Korea, will present this slide presentation about the Korean War. He will discuss the geopolitical situation that led up to the war and the friction between the Army and the Marines, as well as his own personal observations.
