Lane Closures on the Taconic Tuesday-Thursday

Ongoing between the Bear Mountain Parkway and Valhalla Circle — where a nightime detour will be posted for southbound traffic.

PLEASANTVILLE, NY — Lane closures and a full closure are expected on the Taconic State Parkway while crews perform construction activities this week.

Beginning Tuesday through Thursday, single and double lane closures are expected on both the northbound and southbound Taconic State Parkway, between the Saw Mill River Parkway and the Bear Mountain Parkway, beginning at 7 p.m. and ending at 5 a.m.

Additionally, on Tuesday, the southbound portion of the Parkway between Cleveland Street and Valhalla Circle is expected to be closed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Motorists will be directed to use Cleveland Street as a detour.

Motorists should expect delays.

Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to flaggers and all traffic control devices.

Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
