Luxury Senior Development In Briarcliff Names Director
Set to open early this summer, The Club at Briarcliff Manor will deliver luxurious options for 55 and older on the historic site.

From The Club: Set high upon the hills overlooking the Hudson River and the New York City skyline, The Club at Briarcliff Manor is set to transform the way luxury senior living is experienced in Westchester County.
Ushering in the next chapter for this historic property is John V. Muzio Jr., a career hospitality professional who for the past 15 years has successfully developed luxury senior living properties in Westchester County and Manhattan. Muzio prides himself on building great teams that provide the very best service.
“What matters most is the community that develops within these buildings, and the personalized care and attention that each-and-every one of our residents will receive – because they absolutely deserve it,” said Muzio. “Amenities are nice, but atmosphere is paramount. Between the history of our location, our dedicated team, and our commitment to service, it is impossible to match what we have here at The Club at Briarcliff Manor. We are so excited to serve the community that has so eagerly waited for this project to come to fruition.”

Set to open early this summer, The Club at Briarcliff Manor will deliver luxurious options for independent living, assisted living, and memory care for those 55 and older. Senior Lifestyle Corp., a Chicago-based leader in senior care that owns, operates and develops seniors housing communities throughout the United States, is developing the property.
Located on the renowned site of the former Briarcliff Lodge and then Kings College, this premier location offers apartments with traditional Tudor-inspired architecture reflective of the site’s rich past. During the early 1900’s, the Briarcliff Lodge was a popular resort escape for the rich and famous, including Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt and Babe Ruth, just to name a few.

Residents of The Club at Briarcliff Manor can choose from single or multi-room apartments with elegant finishes. World-class programming and top-tier amenities will cover the full spectrum of a life well lived. Residents will also enjoy the lush, expansive grounds that are the pinnacle of old-world charm and historically significant landscaping. The Olmsted Brothers, sons of the eminent landscape architect Frederick Olmsted, who co-designed Central Park, landscaped the original grounds of the property.
“You can’t help but feel that this property is special,” said Muzio, a native New Yorker who resides in Long Island with his wife of 29 years, Nancy. “There is a unique and intrinsic charm to it, and we know this next chapter will be a bright one. I look forward to announcing key members of our exceptional team in the coming weeks.”
