More Night Work to Close the Saw Mill Parkway

This week's work under the historic bridges in Pleasantville will continue till Dec. 9.

The lane and full closures of the Saw Mill River Parkway, between Exit 27 (Marble Avenue) and Exit 30 (Grant Street), originally anticipated to occur from Tuesday through Friday, are now anticipated to last through Dec. 9.

Beginning at 8 p.m. each evening the left lanes on both the northbound and southbound sides of the parkway, between Exit 27 and Exit 30, will close. At 8:30 p.m. all lanes between Exit 27 and Exit 30 will close. The northbound lanes are scheduled to reopen at 7 a.m. the following morning, and the southbound lanes are scheduled to reopen at 6 a.m. the following morning.

Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour and to expect delays.

Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
