Charles Wright of Briarcliff Manor, NY passed September 15th, 2017. At the very young age of 5, Charles decided to be an artist and was active with drawing, painting and sculpture all his life. He taught art and art history at Northern Valley Regional High School in Old Tappan, NJ before retiring.
Charles earned BFA and MFA degrees at Yale University, studying with Josef Albers, Rico Lebrun and Jose de Rivera. In his early career he was a sculptor assistant to Seymour Lipton. Charles is survived by his wife Mildred and was preceded in death by his sister, Lura Katherine Letcher.
Services and interment were held privately.
