Plan Ahead: All Lanes on the Sprain will Close Overnight 2/21-23 in Mt. Pleasant

All lanes on both northbound and southbound sides of the Sprain Brook Parkway between Route 100C and the Taconic State Parkway/Saw Mill River Parkway are expected to close nightly, Feb. 21, through Feb. 23.

Crews will perform utility work, weather permitting, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. In the event of inclement weather, the work will be rescheduled to occur Feb. 28 through March 2. Single lane closures may occur while crews perform work zone set up.

Motorists should follow the signed detour, and anticipate delays.

Use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to flaggers and all traffic control devices.

Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
