Pleasantville: Heat Wave, Water Main Repairs, Outages
Mount Pleasant set up two cooling centers Monday.

Pleasantville residents had to cope Monday with water service suspension as well as a heat advisory and the sustained power outages.
Village officials said water service was temporarily shut off today on Manville Road (between Spring Street and Bedford Road) and Spring Street from 10:30am – 2 pm for water service repairs.

With 103 customers still out in Pleasantville, and 815 out in the town outside the village, Mount Pleasant offers two cooling centers:
- Town Hall, One Town Hall Plaza, Valhalla from noon to 4:30 p.m. All residents must enter through the main entrance to check in and must wear a mask.
- Community Center, 125 Lozza Drive, Valhalla from 1-4:30 p.m. All residents must enter through the main entrance to check in and must wear a mask.
