Pleasantville to be Site of NY Ping Pong Championships

The Westchester Table Tennis Center will run 11 events with more than $4,000 in prizes.

The Westchester Table Tennis Center will host its first New York State Table Tennis Championships in May.

There will be 11 events with more than $4,000 in prizes, WTTC officials said.

The events include Men's Open, Women's Open, five age events (10 & Under, 14 & Under, 18 & Under, 40 & Over, and 60 & Over) and four rated events.

With 19 tables and professional playing conditions, the Westchester Table Tennis Center is one of the premier table tennis facilities in North America. It is owned by Will Shortz, crossword editor of The New York Times, managed by Robert Roberts, three-time table tennis champion of the Caribbean.

The WTTC is located at 175 Tompkins Avenue Pleasantville NY 10570.
