FARM TO FAMILY
It's so simple it borders on the abstract. Just as restaurants offer farm-to-table meals, the Pleasantville Farmers Market offers a "farm-to-family" connection. 2/3 of the farm and food artisan businesses at the Market are represented by the owner (or an individual directly involved in production). And all fields and kitchens involved are inspected by our management staff. This means your family can enjoy knowing the producers and methods for the foods you gather, as well as learn new ways to use these foods from those passionate about producing them.

Drop down menus

When shopping Pleasantville Farmers Market Online (PFM-O) watch for the option of drop down menus (signified by the "carrot" symbol). Drop downs enable producers to offer shoppers options in product size, quantity discounts or other product variations. The images below highlight an example in Spice Revolution's case, but you'll see this tool used frequently throughout PFM-O.

Phelps Health Tip:
Lead Sponsor Phelps Hospital Northwell Health shares the following: "The vegetable of the week is KALE! Kale is an excellent source of beta-carotene, vitamins C and K as well as a healthy dose of calcium. The darker the green the better, and make sure to choose small to medium leaves without yellowing when enjoying raw, braised, sautéed or in a soup".
VENDOR HIGHLIGHTS
Merchant's Daughter Ciderworks makes their first visit to the Market this Saturday. Browse their items in PFM-O tonight. Find them at the winery tent near the Market's main entrance on Saturday. This producer from Purdys, NY creates hard ciders using heirloom apples from family-owned Hudson Valley orchards. They apply a winemaker's approach to create unique, award winning ciders that are a real treat.
