PLEASANTVILLE, NY — Parents have responsibilities when it comes to teenagers having parties — and those are far from making sure the supply of pizza and Oreos doesn't run out.

This week on PCTV, Pleasantville STRONG hosts a parent forum with Ellen Morehouse, Executive Director, Student Assistance Services Corp., about the Social Hosting Law, the consequences of underage drinking in your home. She will also provide tips for parents and skills for teens.

The Social Hosting Law is also one of the subjects of a nearby workshop Sept. 14.

A representative from the Westchester County District Attorney's Office will present a “Primer for Parents” on their responsibilities when it comes to hosting at home parties, an overview of the Good Samaritan law, and the legal consequences of teen alcohol and drug use.

The presentation will be held at the monthly Mount Kisco Partners In Prevention meeting at 7pm Wednesday at Town Hall, Second Floor, 104 Main St., Mount Kisco.
