Several fire departments responded to an afternoon house fire in North Castle. Smoke continued to billow from the property well into the afternoon.
The smoke, which is near a large body of water, appeared to visually blend in with the snow.
Fire departments that responded include Armonk, Mount Kisco, Millwood, Pleasantville, Bedford Hills, Banksville, North White Plains and Somers. North Castle police also responded.
The main body of the fire at the house, located at 21 Faraway Road in Armonk, was out, according to Armonk First Assistant Fire Chief Paul Burns, but hotspots remained after. Damage was extensive and included a collapsed roof.
No people were injured, according to Burns.
